Vector Balance Stirrups Carbon One Size
The ergonomic footplate of the Balance Stirrup is set at 5º, has a transverse grip surface and is mounted on a shock absorbing layer of dynamic polymer with 70% compression. Shocks and vibrations are absorbed at the landing point during the jump, reducing knee and ankle fatigue and reducing stress on leg muscles and tendons. The embedded hardened steel pins ensure maximum safety of the shoe.
The footplate is supported by a Twin Balance arch system that distributes weight evenly across the base of the stirrup frame. The apex of the frame is recessed and offset, promoting a 45º outward alignment and making it easier for the rider to find the optimum angle for the foot and retrieve a lost stirrup.
An integrated safety arm features a two-stage release system that prevents unintentional opening. The spring-loaded safety arm locks into the base of the main frame so that when the load is high, for example after a jump, the rider's weight is evenly distributed across the stirrup. When pressure is applied to the stirrup arm, e.g. during a fall, the arm releases so that the foot cannot get caught in the stirrup. The release force of the stirrup arm in the test is 36N (equivalent to 3.62kg), i.e. enough resistance to prevent accidental opening but to ensure safe release in the event of a fall by the rider.
